Why such a classic feature of source engine was stripped from this game?

Last I played this was in 2013. Had a good amount of players back then and actively played Chivalry 1 and sometimes Chivalry 2. I know its an ancient game and many folks post here to ask if anyone still plays. I want to play out of nostalgia. There are 2 servers but its empty. Is there some sort of player meetup on certain days of the week or month? Would love to see this game revived....

This game is outdated and has no support anymore. I dont know why anybody would still be playing this when Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is the same concept from the same dev, just done a million times better.

I wanna get the 100% on the game and i need some punching balls - i mean some friends to play with me.
