Known Issues (Kepler 21506+)
I've starting a new "known issues" thread to replace the previous one, as most of the issues in the discussion thread have been addressed. This will be for issues in builds starting from 21506.

If you encounter any bugs OR find yourself in a position where you cannot progress the main story line for a significant amount of time, please let me know in this thread.

Known issues:
  • There may still be some places where, if players did things in an unexpected order, the mission system doesn't make it clear how to progress. If this happens to you, please let me know in this thread.
  • Some players report frequent crashes on laptops with older integrated Intel GPUs. Two unrelated scenarios where players have reported this is the Cargo screen and certain enemy attacks like the Devout Havok Shroud
  • Some crew notifications fail to be added to the ship log during interaction dialogues
  • Some players have reported finding some of the UI input sounds too high pitched. If this is you, please let me know in this thread.
  • On rare occasions, crew may have skill check bonuses way above their stats. If you can reproduce this, let me know.
  • Loading a save game during certain transitions (such as the prologue opening) can break the camera.
  • Very rare error can occur if a persistent object crosses a sector boundary during the same frame as a game is saved. The symptom is a series of exceptions that begins with a warning that says something like "coordinate sector did not match containing sector".

There is a typo or missing words in the Devout Motives mission after reaching the destination and using the sphere. "Lt. Cmd. Kepler reports a change in the across the local" seems like it is missing something before "across"

Thanks, I think it's not something missing but "in the" should be deleted. I'll add to the next patch.
Some crew logs do not appear in Log tab.

For example, when surveying this "Dry Canyons" anomaly, one of player's crews will say that he/she has managed to extrapolate a warp location, but this message is not saved in the Log tab:

Among all languages this game offers, I can only read english, but english is not my native language, so I can only read texts slowly and often need to check them in Log tab. Sometimes the crews' messages do not go into the Log tab, which causes some troubles when I try to understand what is happening accurately.

This is actually kinda "immersive" in a meta-game way as the "universal translator" in the game is also not 100% accurate.

But still I hope this could be fixed.

On my list, thanks for reporting.

I have found that when using autopilot and you are intercepted by enemy patrol or fleet that autopilot gets confused as it tries to avoid collisions and I have died many times that way.

These two items are not bugs:
Continue to allow command staff to level up.
Creating secondary fire groupings to pick and choose which secondary weapons to fire together.

I am having a issue where some tech in the resource/custom/edit/load ships screen are blocked by the the resource and edit menu. I am unable to click on these unlocked components because the resource and edit menu block me from clicking on them. I can not find a way to hide or remove the menu/display so I am unable to access anything that is under that display, Therefore all my recent unlocked tech is inaccessible. I can not scroll left or right and W,A,S,D and the left, right, and up, down arrows are useless for this.

seems like there are no hints or help on what to do next none of the "missions" give any further indication of next steps.. good game play but poor mission direction. any help would be appreciated.

Could you submit your save in-game (F8) and leave a comment here when you do? I'm always trying to reduce any places where players get stuck on the main story line.

Well I'm stuck on those auto spawning stations... I'm probably an imbecile... but I have no idea as to how I can damage them enough to do anything. I've looked through the log and coming up empty. :-P

Take out the weapons but don't shoot anything else. You can't have Wiskamug with you, or auto-fire on. Once it is no longer able to shoot at you the option to investigate should come up. I figured out how to de-weapon ships during earlier fights so I found it pretty intuitive myself once the crew suggested to damage them without destroying them.

Okay... I managed it, thanks. I'm not sure of one thing though... if you can share without spoilers..

Will I be able to 'defeat' the planet so the auto-spawns go away? Or, are they forever there?

Thanks much!
In the quest "New Shipments" I was able to convince the Pure Hive to allow me to return to the Guild to warn them, but I stayed around in New Hive territory scanning planets. They got mad and opened fire. I blew them up sufficiently to get the Guild encrypted data, but I cannot progress the quest as no Guild Master will address the information.

Greetings! First off, this game is fantastic, thank you!
I did the New Shipments mission out of order (stumbled across the new location prior to getting warp coordinates from the guild). It now shows most of the objectives checked off except for "The Guild have some new artifacts, but one of their ships is behind schedule", with a number of objectives before and after checked off.

Yes, the objectives are shown in the order they are activated in the mission (possible to advance), but depending on how you proceed it's sometimes possible to progress a mission before you actually are told about it.
