Interesting thing about the star map (more of a technical thread, I guess)
Around nine months ago, I created a full map of the game, which can be found here:

Recently, I decided to undertake a similar project. However, this time, I wanted to avoid the tedious process of building a new explorer ship from scratch. Instead, I experimented with using radar modification to streamline the exploration process - and I managed to figure it out, at least partially.

Interestingly, the updated star map looks significantly different. It appears more densely filled in some areas, while missing several stars that used to be outside the main "spiral" region.

One curious detail is that some stars from the original map (see the first link) are absent in the updated version. For example, the two stars located above the central cluster in the original map were relatively trivial - they contained nothing noteworthy or story-relevant. Yet, despite increasing the radar's range, these stars do not appear in the new map

Now, I'm curious whether the stars were just moved around, or if they spawn in as post-game content despite their irrelevancy to the story.

Perhaps someone who has completed and explored the entire map can give me input about how many stars *might* be missing?

Also only if talking about this is okay for the dev. I just find the Starcom maps to be really interesting.

Some systems are randomly localised at game start.
Some systems are randomly localised when you get to them (at least one).
For story-relevant stars I know this happening. But I didn't expect non-story based star systems to also be affected by this. Which I found interesting.
