*SOLVED* Need Help with one last achievement pls!!! T-T *SOLVED*
I played the game all the way and besides sometimes "wasting time searching" and a few illogical things (but OK nontheless) this game was really great and I LOVED it quite a bit! :steamhappy:
So after the end I did all achievements and got ALL BESIDES ONE! T-T

I am missing "Lost in Space" and the only description I found so far is "In deep space, locate a single-planet star system with an inactive gateway and a derelict sublight freighter on the planet's surface."
Any ídea WHERE to find this?!? Coordinates maybe? Would love that very much!!! T-T

I dont wanna spoil it for others but missing just that ONE achievement shows I traveled quite a bit already and discovered many many offside areas... But I still had no luck with this. As I dont wanna start hating this game now for uselessly flying around the whole map, I hope you guys can help me.

PS with a heads up: I compared my map with others online and as ppl said - there seem to be random placements with some systems besides the important ones. I flew to many places where uploaded maps showed systems but my map had none there...

I'm not sure, but I know I got that achievement without trying very hard, only visiting systems that showed up at the edge of sensor range or through emissary portals or whatever.

Have you turned on the map pings that show you unexplored planets? Maybe you just missed it?

Didn't miss any and have turned on all.
I checked EVERY system that was highlighted on the map and even some that were not, like Wiskamugs systems (even with ridiculous character levels and scanner I could not see them until I compared with online maps). I also checked dozens of times those "still pinging" planets but there are only trading or mining stations left.
But thanks for the input! ;)

Any other ideas?

Yeah, just checked my logs for you. I found it at -25.43x -10.5 it was about two sectors away from the dead star.

Just checked. Not even ANY system close there... T-T
And In another discussion the Lost Freighter was near 28 x -4.
But according to the dev it will ALWAYS spawn... So wow thats some randomness...

If all else fails, you can search your save for undiscovered objects.

Or you can modify the detection range of your sensors, or add large numbers of sensors to your ship to have further vision.

Some tips here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1750770/discussions/0/4344355079688325184/

After I played the first game (Nexus) twice, I went through a third time with similar tricks to these to explore and play around.

Thanks and I see it being my saving grace in the end but maybe you can break it down for me in short? For map reaveal and/or huge scan range - what do I have to do? ^^°

So I did not cheat per se by editing things... but I DID check my savegame file with notepad++ and searched for a freighter event.
There I found the "REMNANT_SPACE.DEEP_SPACE_FREIGHTER_GATEWAY" and the coordinates right below. So I flew there and BAMM! Got it.
Honestly I was about to look there later anyways but I flew around for 3 hrs AFTER FINISHING THE GAME and still didnt find it!!!!
ETA at these coordinates would have been another 2 hrs... WTH?!?!
That was not even a "most likely spot" but pure guessing where to go!
I even had to rebuild the ship just for warp- and voidspeed.

Sorry guys, this is the ONE BIG NOPE from me for this game! NOT COOL!
Please NEVER EVER add an achievement like this again!
Bad! Real Bad! :(((
If you add sth like this, pls make sure it spawns close by or give a hint at least.

How did you get the shield shove achievement? I can't find any way to do it :Hearthian_Cry:
Luke Sep 21, 2024 @ 11:37pm
That is the one where you push the shielded station away from the planet instead of going to the planet to deactivate the shield
Mino Sep 21, 2024 @ 11:40pm
Ohhh, I thought it was something to do with the shielded containers!! thanks

Thank you. Lost about 3 hours as well, trying to find it, never expected a system to be there, with no fog of war for miles around it.

So, for people coming to this as I am one day - I went to D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Starcom Unknown Space\Starcom Unknown Space_Data\StreamingAssets\Content\Kepler\Stories\DEFAULT\Technologies.json and modified Sensor Calibration, "statModified1:" 301, The value found below that, on line 1552 can be modified to 10000.0, which grants star and planet discovery sensor range over the entire map. Hints from elsewhere said it was a single-planet system. I also jumped up the engine boost on line 432 to 1000 to help get through those awful, slow nebulae. It wasn't in a place anyone else had said, as it's spawned semi-randomly (you can find a dev post on the procedural generation somewhere), but with these tools hopefully you'll be able to find it, and anything else you're looking for.
