Fixed gun issue?
When firing fixed guns and moving (strafing) - I think fixed guns bullets are actually always moving in relation to the ship - so if i'm strafing, those bullets not only flow forward, but are also strafing. Really mess up my aiming, i'm way more used to bullets being independent and once i shoot them i don't have to care how i move the ship.
Most visible when shooting asteroids while moving.

Fixed projectiles start with the velocity of the ship, plus their speed in the direction of firing. This can lead to some unintuitive scenarios, although I think it's a trade-off between which kind of unintuitive behavior they exhibit. If the ship's velocity isn't added, then the faster you go, the slower they move relative to you, until eventually they move slower and it looks like they are being fired backwards.

Completely agree on that. Problem for me is that my basic intuitive understanding of how projectiles work breaks. I think every frame you are adding current ship velocity, not only velocity of the ship at the moment of shooting - which means when i fire a gun and change velocity sideways, resulting in me missing my shots. Unfortunately my intuitive understanding is stack at the old more "realistic" Newtonian physics asteroid style games ;)
