Where to get Engine Mk III? [Spoilers]
Am I far from getting better engine tech after finding the black hole in the green nebula?
I fought the warping devouts and I thought i'd at least get a piece of engine tech or warp drive tech but I didn't get anything.

Also desperately looking for this, so if you find it, lmk!
Keep doing the storyline, you'll eventually get an engine drop from the Devout.

Anyone who actually managed to add those in a visually pleasing way? Seems like a waste of research points right now.
Yes, they take a lot of space but the thrust is worth it so not really a waste.
I made an inverted V shape at the back of the ship and they look alright.

You can stagger them with well placed parts and bulkheads. Its hard but doable

If they completely kill any pleasing design potential then they're a waste, because I'll just not gonna use them. They are also barely any better than 3 mk2 engines, worse in turn radius even, while taking up more space than that AND while looking completely stupid. And if I have to add a ton of extra bulk heads the little bit of speed bonus goes down the drain as well - especially if I'd have to build the whole ship even bigger to match the aesthetic (which still leaves ugly gaps).

I don't seem to be able to get the drop for both the Engine and Plasma MKIII... From what I gather, you get them from the Devout Temple and the big ships protecting them. I got to the part where you are ambushed by the Devout and they spawn those big stations and ships and I just keep doing them over and over again and they just don't drop them at all... Am I missing something? Is it further down the road?

I'm about 21 hours in and loving every minute of the game. But I can't help but wonder where and when I'll get to fill in those engine ???'s as well. I'd like some bigger engines on my dreadnaught! I just did the ambush scenario as well, from the sounds of it I just need to keep on trying to find and kill the largest ships and temples? Any good spawn locations?

Found some MK3 engines shooting these shielded containers.

The ambush was supposed to drop something? I haven't gotten anything, either

For me the jumping ships were dropping these, wasn't a problem at all. Maybe that perk that increases probability of an artifact drop helped.

Heh, this was actually my main issue with them as well, that they jut out from the hull so much. Functionally they're worth the research, though.

There someone who said you can get drop from the station and the ships from that fight, luckily for me, I saved just before it so I was able to reload it many many many times but I didnt get any drops so I'm starting to doubt it... I'm just wondering where people are getting those exactly just to be sure I don't miss them because the drops are all RNG so there is a possibility that if you kill all the ships that are supposed to give you them and they don't spawn back, you are screw... And I obviously have the research that give more chance to get artifacts to drop for each crew with 2 Astrophysics and all my crew as minimum 2 in Astrophysics... Still no luck!

End game drops, by the time you find them you likely don't need them.

Yeah same here, have practically everything researched and been wrecking Devout ships everywhere I go but have not gotten drops to start learning about MkIII turrets or engines.
