Derelict Monitoring Station

Hi all. I am supposed to return to this station for a mission but have no idea where it is anymore. There doesn't appear to be any way point or marker. Any help would be great. thank you!

Offhand, I can't recall.
Buuuut... Check your log! Do a search for the words, set your own waypoint!

Do you play with the Highlight interactions checkbox on in the map? I'd swear it pings for that. If not, it should be reported as a bug.

ITS FRACKIN AMAZING.

Like, I have all the asteroids and...uh... secret massive things with debris fields... marked through the log. So every time I go back to home base, I just hit up a circuit of all the flagged locations and blow the things up, with the benefit that I don't HAVE TO REMEMBER A DAMN THING. I'm old. I appreciate this part the most :D

It could be. Pretty much anything anomaly-wise that you can choose to destroy for materials is a negative option. On the other hand, all those derelict ships, probes, etc that you find randomly? almost all of those are fine to blow up for materials.

It's literally called "Monitoring Station." At least after it is fixed.

I got it! Found it at -3,5 / 9,1
It wasnt the antenna.

From other's posts there is a randomness to some systems/things. Not sure though.

It's a space station. The mission journal says what you should search for, something about nanite? Photon? Something like that? I did it not long ago. The hint for log search is in the first line, not in the active one talking about derelict monitoring station.

I was having this exact same issue with this exact same mission.

I recall in the previous Starcom being frustrated often with the very same issue. Missions often referring to places I had been that if I was not on the ball and taking notes of its location I would never remember and no obvious way to re-discover it.

If the intention is that searching your logs is part of the fun and mystery solving features of the game it would have been nice to enhance those features a bit. Being able to search for keywordA AND keywordB or regex support etc.

For this particular mission I made several attempts to search my logs and try and rediscover it but it was not until reading this thread where someone mentioned the specific thing you need to search on was able to locate it again.

Are you guys talking about the search for Tau Neutrinos? If so, one of your officers explains exactly what to do. He tells you to go to your log and search for that exact text string. Then he tells you exactly how to mark the location through your log.

So, the fact that folks are having a problem seems puzzling. Perhaps you need to alter your message dismiss speed in options? If you are simply a person who doesn't like to read stuff and dismisses text boxes at light speed, then yes, that will affect in game performance. :)

Don't worry I'm having the same problem its kinda sad that every system you gotta take notes in regardless of what you do take notes like wtf+2 are we back in high school again lol absolutely frustrating this sort of game should be fun an repayable not hard just for all those people who enjoy taking notes I don't .
