You use your brain and compare information that you find (things like symbols on walls, numbers on maps, etc.).

You can find the code of the padlock on the last wagon.

With that you have to pay attention to the metro maps, there is one explaining that the square equals 7 and one graffiti telling you that the triangle equals 1.
Pay attention to where the metro lines intersect.

Very dumb puzzle
It's very confusing. Because I thought that the hint in the last subway car about the sequence was false. And the subway lines are like the arrangement of these symbols.
It turns out they had to be added together to get the numbers, lol...

I love the worst game design choices of old games being glorified in newer games.
Decoding the values for regular symbols is rather easy. The issue is in the image of code itself. Like, the first symbol does not look like square. Neither does triangle from the hint look like an actual triangle. This led me to overthinking for like 5 minutes, trying to figure out if those values can be derived from the figures themselves, but no, those are just poorly drawn triangle and square, it is just inconsistent that they are drawn in different way in different places.
