Huh, this sounds like a nice idea for a post, it will stop new players from getting addicted to modded servers or frustrated at them and getting frustrated in other servers from a shift i n difficulty. :D
I was thinking of adding one but I realized the infection chance is raised and pills cure you :I, finding pure servers is more difficult, especially if they are not church, cabin, or modified/slightly servers.
Very strange though, the pure ZPS servers are in Europe and/or London and barely and US servers. I guess people from across the world are more fun and interesting. :P

Well pills are not a default server thing as of years ago to now so it can be considered not a pure server, also the fact the server i was talking about had changed infection rates but ill find a server.

Edit: Games that have regular ZPS are difficult to find, so few people are on at the moment and most of the full servers are either pure 24/7 single maps or super modded to the point a high leveled person or donator can and will kill people easily.

Kinda sad to see that there are no American west coast ZPS servers, much less stock servers in general. I would like a round of Biotec or Tanker again. I remember those maps being tons of fun.

Then Im guessing every server on the west coast has a custom map in it and its not entirely stock maps :C.

So we can say most American servers are not entirely original ZPS, and i sort of miss thrillville and subway :P.

But sorry iwas going on the fact of no mods not custom maps.
But to be honestly I think that custom servers are what makes ZPS so fun, for the fact that no new maps are made by the developers. Thats sort of what No More Room In Hell is lacking since its the same maps over and over. Its just that I kinda wish the maps like lake maps or "waiting maps" were not there since they just involve a whole bunch of sitting around for rescue. Stock maps run their fun for a while and then they become dried raisins until they shrivel a little more. The fun replenishes when the map is not played for several rounds. This is why I dislike 24/7 Biotec or 24/7 Cabin or whatever since i can figure out why people play the same round over and over for hours on end and come back the next day (albeit you get to meet new people and play a different match each round.).

I just wish ZPS can be enjoyed without people fighting about the fact that maps like biotec are significantly better then others. Variety is one thing players lack and it makes gameplay stale until a custom map that is not horrendous is stuck on the cycle.

But thats what made cabin and church maps :C.

Imagine ZPS only with stocks maps since 2007. Would be boring as hell to wait for some 'new maps' from the Devs. I think community mappers support this mod a LOT. I mean, the real mappers that create a master piece of a good detailed-obj (survival) map.

And the top servers host both stocks/custom maps. Dunno why they shouldn't be on the list if this thread could be 'pinned'.

Edit: Ofc, cabin and lake is already annoying, i'm still impressive that people still play that map - Cabin Outbreak - 24/7. Urh ....

Sgt Martin from |S.T.A.R.S| here! We currently have all of the stock maps on our server list, however, we also have about an even number of custom maps. The server was recently moved from Buffalo, New York to Chicago, Illinois (United States).

Its fair that server owners won't want to play the stock maps over and over and its really to your detriment to just play stock like there aren't any good custom maps. We at the Sinister Cookie server play all the stock maps but also well *Balanced* custom maps that we personally test for fair play on zombie and human sides and have turned up alot of really good custom maps some of which are developer quality.
