You can use SteamDB Charts (google "steamdb zps charts") and see the active player count as well as the history of the game and other games when they were first released.
(I haven't played in 6+ years, i don't really know if it's that bad so don't take my word)
Steamcharts speaks for itself.
I miss ZP1 and the ZPS glory days, it was a lot of fun.
In any case; the answer is 'Yes'.
I miss the days when vanilla ZPS was still a thing. Approx 100% of all the populated servers in the game these days only play with these ultra-♥♥♥♥♥♥ and woefully unbalanced perks or RPG systems, or they just have the most atrocious bloody custom maps ever designed.
TL;DR: RIP ZPS.
that ! An already small community + hyper sensitive and woke admins = pretty dead game
This, compounded with severe admin abuse.
