Hello!

How do you get the bots to work properly?
Some servers have Zombots 1/2/3/4 etc. Like this server:
"EU | PerksMod | ZomBots | Swamp of Sorrrows"
In that server the zombie bots actually attack properly and jump windows etc. Even if a online person becomes afk they automatically move for you to do the work.
How do you set this, what do I need to do?

Unfortunately, zombots are not built into ZPS. This is a server-side mod that the server owner made/had made specifically for their servers most likely using Sourcemod/Metamod. It is not something that the game itself has out of the box.

The features such as the AFK and proper attack patterns were something that was made for that plugin/extension and it probably utilizes some form of nav_mesh for pathing/guidance and/or had certain states react to players or buildings in specific ways, if I were to take a guess at how it works. Outside of that, I'm not sure on the specifics.

In either case, this mod is most likely a private mod and only works for those servers. Unless the person who owns the mod is selling it or has released it someplace for other to use, your only options are to make your own plugin/extension for bots, hire someone who knows enough about making bots to make one for you, or live without bots.

Thanks for the answers! I asked as I have some friends of mine that really enjoy playing the different lake maps. As we enjoy blocking ourselves in together it's not the same fun if one of us have to play as the zombiepart. The bots in this mod being smarter than what I've seen before, so hence my question. But alas then I think it's a pretty lost case for now.

特别是与朋友一起游玩的情况下，没有bot的话，那就意味着必须有人去扮演僵尸，这样反而失去了与朋友体验的乐趣。
并且在玩家数量不足的情况下，也不可能体验到被大量僵尸袭击的危机感。
EU服务器里的bot其实不算聪明，但至少完成的最低限度的扮演玩家，即便bot扮演人类很愚蠢，但作为僵尸是成功的。
不过可惜的是EU服务器里的bot是第三方插件，而官方却一直执着于pvp，从而导致玩家的流失

I love the full game, and have for years, playing as a zombie or survivor no matter, but we wanted to test this out for fun! Don’t be preposterous hahah, but happy indeed to see you have an opinion on the gamestyle and how you «play» the game. Not that it follows the matter or topic at hand at all, being merely a trifle of a question. However cheers. ;-)

does anybody know how to build zombie bot plugins

The bots are there to balance the game so you don't get fed up

A few days ago, someone on the ZPS Discord server was asking questions about programming a bot script with AngelScript, which he would freely release to anyone. So hopefully that gets completed and then other people can use it - there are private bot plugins which will function a bit differently but keep your eyes open for that. I'll encourage him to post here if it reaches a functional state.

anyway if you want to play similar game with zombies controlled by AI then either try No more room in hell or Brainbread or buy Contagion which is basicly ZPS but much better and has AI zombies

personal opinion - played both - like Contagion much much more

and the fact you can play as survivors against hordes of AI zombies just takes it to another level for me

you may like and glorigy ZPS more - nothing wrong with that - each person got a right to their own opinion
