Are there much servers to play still?

Sadly, the size of the playerbase is usually not capable of simultaneously supporting more than 2 full servers. The game usually sits at around 30 players and then peaks to around 50 for a few hours. So the selection is usually limited to about 2 or 3 servers.

Those servers will most likely be custom as most of the audience for the official version of the game has ceased to play despite the many sizeable updates. Naturally, this has also caused every community to either die out or cease to support ZPS. So you are unlikely to find much variety in settings and players.

You can still play the game. But it is a shadow of its' former self.

actually been 100 for many days, the game is still alive and if u like it u should support by playing if only for like 5 min a day

It is true that the game has peaked at around 100 players the past few months but these peaks only last an hour or two. And they happen only once or twice per month. The biggest peak this month was 84, which lasted about an hour as well.

There are a few. SuperConker's server is mostly vanilla but plays a lot of custom maps, and is active around 2am-7am UTC. Pikouchu's server has some "custom event" plugins but is otherwise vanilla, and plays a lot of stock maps - that's active around 3pm-9pm UTC. And then Perksmod is the most "custom" in terms of plugins, and plays a lot of cabin/church maps - that seems to be active most of the time. Occasionally there will be other servers on, like Pillz or Dr. Nos, but those aren't as active. Also there's the Zombie Cows server playing 2.4, and that's active occasionally.

My server typically gets populated around 7 PM (EST) and dies down around 3-4 AM (EST).
So a good 8-9 hours of gameplay can be had in there.

There is a good selection of stock maps, but people seem to prefer to vote for custom maps.

this guy means active players which is like 4 servers full -- unique players this game has like 1000 per day, the game just doesnt have enuf new content imo, im making some i know the dev team is making some, anyone can make content for this game which is beautiful part of ZPS anyone can make a map so, hopefully we'll see some creators emerge
