Xenoblade Chronicles looks 100x better than D6 on switch and runs perfectly fine, they built the game for PS5 and just shoved it on switch without bothering to optimize.

The switch hardware isn't outdated, Nippon Ichi cut corners with the switch version and didn't properly optimize it.
But if you take art direction into account, then disgaea 6 looks much better than that Xenoblade.
I only played D6 while docked and Quality mode is not usable unless you're ok with a half second input delay for every action you perform, think what you want but their switch adaptation was a piss poor money grab where they threw it on the system knowing it ran like garbage. Xenoblade had particle effects every 2 seconds during fights and D6 couldn't even manage to have static character models on screen without lagging.
no offense dude but if you can't tell how bad the switch version of disgaea 6 runs you're blind lol. It can barely hold 20 fps in the base on balanced mode docked, and thats without 20 characters cluttered together on a large map. Compare it to the playstation version and you'll see the drastic difference in quality. The only real way to play it at a decent speed is performance mode and even then you'll still be dropping a noticeable amount of frames in battle or when doing simple actiions like changing the camera.
feels like this shoulda been a mobile game with the lack of content and auto battle bs
I hope they continue with the 3D models, more and more games have shown that they're more than match for sprites with the right techniques. Just gotta de chibify them in case of Disgaea, shaders are on point.
