[Tutorial] How to rotate or scale an object (decorations)

I'm not sure why many people don't know how to rotate or scale a decorator while having a tutorial about that (and can even read again any time via the User Guide button in the settings screen), so here is the pinned post to avoid too many threads asking about this.
- Hold Shift + scroll mouse wheel to rotate
- Hold Ctrl + scroll mouse wheel to scale
- Scroll mouse wheel to zoom in or zoom out
- Hold and drag right mouse to pan the scene
p/s: for placed object, click on it to show interaction UI then select suitable icon you want (edit or remove).

It took me a minute. What you are forgetting to mention is that the object needs to be selected via the MOVE icon.
- Once the object is able to be moved, Rotating and Scaling is possible.
- If the object is selected and the Move and Cancel icons are showing, Rotating and Scaling is not possible.

I don't know if this is a problem with Windows 11, but everytime I go into move mode, hold shift, and move the scroll wheel, Windows switches out of Chill Corner and to other windows, and doesn't rotate the object. I checked windows mouse settings and couldn't find a setting that is doing this. So for right now, I can't rotate objects. Frustrating.

I'm not sure about that problem, the next update will have an alternative way to rotate objects so you can wait for it.

I'm late but I also have this issue. But I believe this tutorial only works for those with traditional mouses. I'm on a laptop so the regular way to rotate items does not work/apply to me, so I'm kind of stuck.

There is an update that allow to use ctrl or shift combine with left right arrow key to scale or rotate object. You could try it.

Can you remove objects that were in the room once you got the game? Stuff that was already there such as the bed/desk/etc. I click on it and nothing happens.

You cannot adjust the default object in the default room, just add new.
If you want to fully customize your room just select the empty room and decorate it.

I'm using a laptop computer. I don't have a mouse, just a smoll touchpad on the bottom of the keyboard...
