It makes it so the Yellow Frog Talisman and Blue Frog Talisman are always active since they only work when your health is low.

its for endgame uses, to collect scenes you might've miss

I assumed it was a quick way to farm deaths so you could see all the game over animations (like && said) or a reference to that one sword from Symphony of the Night, but what TheOtherKy makes the most sense (if true).
