Ghost Hunters quest for Milk and Cream stopped being active?

No matter how many ghosts I kill they continue to say "Are you taking a break from your adventure?" and it's preventing me from finishing the quest for Janice too, because I've done all of everyone else's quests, it's just this one quest seems to be not completable.

Im getting something similar. I was wondering if its 20 different ghosts?
I thought i could do it quick by finding a screen where i can back and forth into it to kill ghosts and skeletons without re running the whole ghost mansion.
Let me know if you solved it your end.
