How to fix black screen

I have w7 and this game start with black screen..... anyone can help me ???

1. Rename the movies-folder (...\SteamApps\common\Command and Conquer Red Alert 3\Data)
2. Launch the game
3. Go to options and set the resolution to the one of your monitor
4. Close the game
5. Rename the movies-folder back to "Movies"
6. Done

so , i renamed the movies-folder and i cant change my resolution because i have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ black screen......

With me I could start the game after renaming the folder (since it skipped the movies) and I was able to get to the options menu.
Your black screen might have another reason. Sorry it didn't help.

I had the same sort of issues after installing the game. No solutions from these threads would work for me. I went to a 3rd party website, downloaded the patch 1.12 and it runs just fine. Good luck, friends.
