Afaik I can still play RA3's campaign with the mod as well.
If that's not to your liking there is always the old RA3 Shock Therapy mod, which is basically bug fixes, RA3 Uprising units and unit sizes changed (infantry/war bears/dogs/drones are all smaller in size, some tanks like the Apoc tank are bigger, etc). That mod is more vanilla RA3 friendly, and works with the campaign.
In the campaign the AI is used in a different state (it basically follows different parameters, just like how the AI is different in C&C 3/KW campaign game modes).
The skirmish AI in remix will absolutely use all the new units as well as the added Uprising units. I would highly suggest not playing against Brutal AI or having ally brutal AI, as that difficulty mode for some reason sees the AI spamming turrets in both their base and towards you.
