How to find your CD Key?
I have opened it in the game tab in library (Options -> Manage -> CD Keys) and there is nothing. Just empty window without a key.

I'm having the same issue. I purchased this game so we could play via LAN.

Have you contacted Steam support? Try to contact them. Maybe they will fix this.

How to retrieve your CD-Key
Seems like EA removed the option to see your cd key, but there is a work around to retrieve it via System Informer, look it up on google.

1- Download System Informer and open it
2- right click CNC4.game process and click properties
3- go to environment tab
4- you should now be able to see the cd-key on the 4th line.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I have been trying.

At least if you bought it while they were assigning keys it should work, just tried it and displays my key. Also tried on other EA games I've bought after they stopped issuing keys and they just show the key for the last game I launched before that had one so yeah, you gotta beg EA support for one.

I have already contacted EA support and they said they don't provide CD keys for their games in Steam and never provided. In Steam support pretended they didn't understand the problem and that it is the way it should be, that everything is okay. I would say it's really good care about the customers. Total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!

No, we are talking about the keys that you can see directly in your Steam library in the game tab.
But if you have your old CD keys, then possibly yes, some of them you can activate on Steam, some of them on Origin or EA App. It'll depend on the game.

Yes you can use them to fix your Steam copy, also redeem on Origin if you want.

Go to regedit --> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3\ergc ---> There you can change your cd key, Just change this %CDKEY% to random numbers

So what i basically did , I change it first , I launch the game (Steam will change it back to %CDKEY% if you click on launch), AND i change it again under 5 seconds , Don't wait until you are in game , you have to change it again immediately , Otherwise it wont work

BOOM , you can play with your friends on LAN

It's certainly good that you wrote to use a random key, but it's not a solution of the main problem. I just would like to get the original license key, which was definitely there, for the game I paid for, by the way.

Any updates on this issue? LAN gaming for RA3 was working for me and now I'm also receiving the CD key error. I've tried to report this on steam (no luck) and EA Support.

As I basically bought the CC bundle to play over LAN, I will seek a refund if they don't resolve.

Unfortunately I think you're gonna have to make a refund, because like I said earlier, EA support says they don't provide CD keys for their games in Steam and Steam support pretends they don't understand the problem. Nobody cares about the problem and nobody wants to deal with it. So just make a refund.
