Same issue

I'm having the same problem (I purchased 3 copies and only one came with a key). The issue is Steam didn't include a CD key with the install. I'm having a hard time finding support for this through Steam. This is sketchy as hell.

Could always go with C&C Online, then make a private lobby. Pretty sure you can LAN from there as it changes the way it logs you in.

In the end we googled cd-keys and changed the cd-key in registry after the game has started, which needs to be done everytime you want to play it in lan. I'd say this would warrant a refund as the big aspect of the game does not even work out of the box.

Go to regedit --> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3\ergc ---> There you can change your cd key, Just change this %CDKEY% to random numbers

So what i basically did , I change it first , I launch the game (Steam will change it back to %CDKEY% if you click on launch), AND i change it again under 5 seconds , Don't wait until you are in game , you have to change it again immediately , Otherwise it wont work

BOOM , you can play with your friends on LAN

We found out that the %CDKEY% is actually just an env variable that can be changed and its easier than changing the registry

Sorry, how did you solve this problem? Did you get any help from Steam support?
