Command & Conquer™ Red Alert™ 3

RA3 or RA3 Uprising? Which one should I get?
So I hear that Uprising has more troops but doesn't have multiplayer, offline skirmish against bots(does RA3 actually have this btw?) and world builder. Is this true?

If not then what makes RA3 better than RA3 Uprising? I read on another forum and a lot of people say that is so but when it gets to why it becomes unclear. Or is RA3 Uprising better (if so why)?

Are the heroes playable in offline skirmish for either games?

Also can I run this game with:
8GB RAM
Intel Pentium Quad Core N350 2.16ghz
Intel HD Graphics (Shared)
If so, what graphics setting?

Gonna buy another better laptop this Christmas when the sales appear but wondering if I could get either RA3 or RA3 Uprising now.

Thanks in advance. :D

Uprising is just an expansion pack, so you better get RA3 first (and yes, there are a lot of offline skirmish maps).

Get RA3. Uprising is just an expansion pack with storyline taking place after RA3 Alled side. RA3 have everything except the pointless challenges and out-of-place units.

Another thing so with commando units, are they in skirmish mode too or just campaign? Is Yuriko in RA3 or do the Empire of the Rising Sun not have a commando unit unless I get RA3 Uprising? Thanks.

If you looking forward to play story mode I suggest to to get both but if you care only multiplayer you can just skip uprising and get onlt Ra3, [even uprising offer extra new units but it don't have multiplayer mode ]

and truly even uprising considrer to be expansion but it also work stand alone you dont need to have Ra3 to play uprising it simply different game.

[Ra3]
- Coop Campaign Mode. [Longer than Ra3U]
- Multiplayer

[Ra3U]
- New Single Player Story Campaign.
- Commander Challenge Mode
- Yuriko Action Mode
- 11 Extra New Units [3-4 per faction]

and your PC performance more than enough to run the game IMO. :p

You can grab red alert 3 and then download the Shock therapy mod.

Shock therapy mod basically adds in the units from Uprising, balances all units for the game (including the uprising ones), resizes units and provides some extra fx to them (like smoke trails for most aircraft, aircraft don't hover in one spot etc).

It's a really good mod if you want the units from Uprising, and want some fair balance changes. The only thing that's missing is the Uprising campaign, but you could always grab Uprising sometime down the line.

Also if you go to C&C online, you could always download their app, which lets you hook the app to Red Alert 3, which in turn allows you to play on C&C online community servers, where people still play the game, as well as other C&C titles, so you can still play co-op/pvp with people.
