worth buying in 2021?

Hello, i am wondering if this game is still worth buying in 2021. I've never played it before, i have a laptop with win 10 and idk but i read a lot of things about not beign able to play in win 10. Any advice guys? Multiplayer dead? is still worth buying?

It runs perfectly on windows 10, multiplayer is fine but recommended to join a discord to find proper matches, you will also need to download c&c online to play online as it does not have official servers, here is the link: https://cnc-online.net/en/

It works fine on Windows 10 if that's your main concern with no extra fiddling around or editing .ini files. Just download and play.

There's a new mod beta that's coming out in a couple of hours for RA3 called GenEvo which is basically Generals in the Red Alert 3 engine. There's skirmish for now but more is planned in the future, albeit at 30 fps although there's news of a new 60 fps patch in the works(not the Chinese version that's being going around).

how can you get this game to even work? i have windows 10, I have the most up to date version of DirectX, i even messed around with a number of compatibility settings, as far as i can tell ive tried everything the error message tells me to check and yet it will still not start up. Any help? because i just wasted 3 hours trying to figure this out and nothing

Judge for yourself by checking out the screenshots, Either way, For a 12 year old game it's held up quite well.

I was actually impressed by the graphics when I played it on friday
everything on max/ultra, 1920 x 1080
I don't notice if the fps is capped at 30
and I expected the game to look worse than it actually does
So I like it but like Morgath said you need to judge that yourself

Well yeah, it's the best one in the sub series, and still has a community going
