I love red alert. Red alert 2 is my favorite but the whole series is part of my childhood. Brass tactics is excellent with touch controllers and i would think this game in vr would blow minds. Or command and conquer generals! That was also fun and 3d.

Oh you are not joking then? This is a serious post lol?

Well let me explain why this wont happen:

-This engine is not capable of managing VR and support intuitive VR controls needed for a VR RTS to be playable.

-30 fps in VR with default RA3 camera settings will make people sick and cause headaches. 30 FPS in VR is horrible experience. (RA3 is hardcoded locked to 30 FPS by default)

-EA doesnt read steam foums or care about updating their older titles.
They didnt even bother updating alternative multiplayer service for these games after gamespy closed.
Let alone make VR versions lol

Maybe some day we will get a good RTS game in VR (preferably not made by EA cause they will mess it up most likely)

....ok well first off theres many great rts and rts vr games with motion support. brass tactics airmech ect. red alerts one of my fav games and i would love to see a vr version of red alert, even if they make a new one or something. alot of older games are being switch to vr so its definately possible. the fps thing is irrelevant. also locked things are locked... until someone unlocks them. thats how locks work. i wish EA would chime in here or chime in here to show your wrong on them not caring but,,,,, no your probably right about thats one. but i support any dev supporting vr and not sure why your first instinct was to crack on my thoughts about it. why respond at all really.

To clarify i'm not saying VR RTS are not possible i'm saying making Red Alert 3 into VR is not possible without making a new game with new engine.

And i'm baffled why you posting such request on steam forums instead on EA forums.
Why did you post it here? EA doesn't visit or care for these forums.

There are no one here but us regular users not even moderators visit this place anymore let alone EA devs. Heck there arent even that many active regular users on this forum either.

Making red alert on VR means they got to create a new game from scratch. Not worth their time just to make a carbon copy of a same game.
