Teslas
I think the Emperors transformer unit is anti everything so just swarm like it like a good little Soviet.
Good luck Comrade.
The Faction in gerneral
What's a King Oni? A Giant Mecha? The Reds can't even dent it. Allied Prisms and Cryotech are the solution to bringing down a Japanese Giant.
put some anti air in your base wich should deal with air enemies trying to land on the back line if the flak tropps missed anything, and place tesla and AA towers in your co=commader outer base line to keep them in game longer.
im bad at RTS in general but i mennaged to do it, with my co-commander base safe, i tell them to plan attack, and join them in support.
I find this to be a largely Twinblade mission- every time I did this one I just spammed Twinblades to run around and shoot up incoming attacks; Rising Sun's primary weakness is relative lack of AA firepower, and your tanks will be too slow to zip around the map helping co-commander or respond to attacks. Plus they can transport troops and tanks. You can always escort them with Bullfrogs if there's too much anti-air where you're going.
You don't really need to capture Japanese structures because you will get locked out of some of their cool units anyways, but it will really help with economy if you just take some of their major buildings, sell or train some units, and use the MCV's ground control to put down any buildings you need without moving an MCV around. Japanese refineries are far less micro because you can just build and deploy without ground control issues. Focus on destroying their power plants as they have tons of VX defender towers all over the map.
The only Japanese unit I really use are engineers and waveforce artillery; the former can run and you can pump them out while your Soviet barracks is training something else, and the latter doesn't have slash damage so you can avoid dealing too much dmg to oil derricks with defender towers next to them.
On harder difficulties get an Iron Curtain and if you see your co-commander in trouble, activate it to buy time as you bring your Twinblades over. King Oni's are tough to kill yes, but they have no anti-air.
Really, once Shinzo is dealt with, the mission is very easy to complete, as Kenji only sends Tengus and tanks while Shirada is trying to juggle land units and sea units.I recommend taking Kenji first since he's easier to kill, much closer, and you can rapidly expand economy with the ore mines and derricks in the area. Then just fly over and finish off Shirada. Once the map is expanded, destroy the powerplants to upper right section of the map and it's even easier to finish; the remaining base spams VX helos, but without power that's nothing even if you leave the AI to steamroll them.
I just finished a mission where ten Waveforce tanks killed the Emperor's Oni in like 5 seconds (well the Twinblades kept him standing still and I had iron Curtain on some of them).
So, capturing the Japanese & Soviet Construction yards would be an unfair advantage to other players?
