Neon Splash (from the menu and my current experience) seems to have 9 "normal" levels, 9 harder "remixes", 2 final unlockable stages, and a smaller "playground" to replace the hub world. Each of the normal levels has 80 smaller collectibles and 1 better-hidden one.
Edit: Official developer estimates are 30-50 hrs to 100% the original, and 3-5 hrs for this one.
You could kinda consider it a level pack DLC, it's sold separately from the main game since:
a) the moveset has been tweaked a lot from the original (more platforming focus)
b) people can play it as a "sampler" without having any experience with the original
