Do DeSotto Decals carry between playthroughs?

I haven't played the game since the original release and I can't remember.

If you start a new game, the decals will start fresh. If you have a playthrough you're happy with and don't want to overwrite the data, you can select an empty slot to start your new game (Settings > Save Slots)!

No, they're linear unfortunately. Going backward, you can only see the Upgrades culminating to that episode. Decals are persistent however, as long as you're on the same save file.
Having missed/forgotten to 100% the driving games on my playthrough I have found going back to previous episodes with a save on Episode 5 streamlined the sticker collection procedure; starting new chapters on previous episodes, they instantaneously sent me on the high score segment when talking to the C.O.P.S or using the Desoto
