Night of the Raving Dead Driving Challenge

Is anyone else finding this minigame super annoying? The timing on the CD launcher has so much delay and reloads so slowly that it's sometimes nearly impossible for me to hit something. Is there some sort of trick to it, or do I just suck at timing?

Nah it's pretty tricky. What I found worked for me is first get the antenna from the first very easy challenge. Keep it on the car until you've done all the higher levels of the challenge. Drive on the left side of the road. Then just get kind of close to the zombies, and fire a CD when the top of the antenna passes over one. You can practice the timing and spacing all you want by taking off the goggles so the mission timer goes away, then put them back on when you feel you're ready to pass the challenges.

I made this in 2011, strategy still worked fine for me in this new version when I played that stage yesterday (man that 30fps and those PS3 freeze-ups sure are rough though):

Although what I did this time is not even bother driving around. I just put the DeSoto near the curb and only shot CDs at the zombies in the yards.

Soldier mains in TF2: I trained for this moment

Unfortunately I was a terrible soldier main.

My strategy was moving the car besides each zombie and shooting each time the start of the car aligns with them. I was controlling the car with the keyboard of course, must be super difficult trying that with the mouse. Besides, driving your car so close to the zombies without riding over them it's a fun little challenge too.
