Lunacid
Catacombs
I was absolutely enjoying the game until reaching this place - confusing, labyrinthic layout with almost no warp points, annoying enemies and unkillable ones too, almost feels like a different game in this area, like the developer was trying to make some sort of hybrid horror game. Will for sure give it another try but, for me, this is the weakest area of the game so far...

Use lightning attacks for ''unkillable'' enemies.
Thanks for the input guys, don't take me wrong, the game is so fun and awesome but this area is just so different from what I was experiencing that it was becoming a chore to go through.
Here's a really good tip, and one I wished people had told me- get the rapier from the merchant. It upgrades into a weapon that's great against enemies in the catacombs (in fact I think it has the same base damage as the aforementioned vampire hunter sword).

There's an item you can get pretty easily in the catacombs that should help, too. It's specifically to mark areas so you won't get lost.

Also, just so you know, every major area in the game only has one warp crystal.
The upgraded rapier is a weapon that will carry you for a significant part of the game, and it can all but trivialize most enemies in the catacombs. That, or just go get the crossbow and trivialize all but the phys-immune guys.
i have beat the game at this point. its a great game but catacombs was a huge curveball for me aswell it was the 3rd area i stumbled upon and i had no way of killing the physical immune mobs aswell when i got there.

have you not played DS 1? Saint weapons( in our case lightning) - i got the idea right way. THEY LITERALLY TOLD YOU THAT silver rapier used against undead
I really love the atmosphere, exploration and cool enemies of the game and I feel like I just wander aimlessly through the world with no clue what is going on. Good i can read some clues in this forum- getting the rapier asap lol
I managed to get by using a sword that does fire damage and fairy familiar spell.

There is a nasty surprise in the catacombs that I am still unsure of how I feel about it
Area sucks til you get the Vampire Hunter Sword. Then its sweet sweet revenge against those Horse heads and invisible ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that have been giving you such a headache

Or a torch, or the Vampire hunter sword.
Catacombs and the underworks sewers were absolutely awful to navigate. However in catacombs you can find the best weapon in the game IMO and it's not the vampire sword (tho that sword will help you get it)
Catacombs made me give in and actually search up guides.
There's a piece of gaming culture that has sadly been lost in the modern day and that's creating a map, keeping track of where you're going and where you have been. Even easier to do now, you don't need pages of graph paper and pencils, you can do it on your computer and you can toggle a compass on in the settings as well. If you find yourself frequently getting lost, I would recommend making a map and keeping track of where you are going and where you have been. It's very satisfying and in years time will act as fond memorabilia to look back on.

As for enemies that are "unkillable" they're just immune to that particular damage type. The Mares can be dealt with using magic or any weapon that does light damage such as the Vampire Hunter sword that can be found in the Catacombs or the upgraded rapier which you can buy in the hub area.

It's definitely the weakest area I've seen so far, but finding the Vampire Hunter Sword was helpful. My issue wasn't really the mobs though, mainly the mind numbing labyrinth I kept looping in lol. Now I finally got through it I had to retreat and now I don't know if I have to go back lmao (to the even WORSE labyrinth). I also can't seem to find the final Fire. I have a vague idea of one last place I can scope out, which thankfully is nearer the beginning.

Can't wait to move on, not gonna lie.
In case you're stil lost - it's hidden in an area you need to jump up to. I'm not sure how to describe it exactly, but you probably noticed there were areas that were too high to get into. You either need high dex or the coffin spell to get in there and you will find the final fire in there.
