[Suggestion] Ikurr'ilb Roots (and the rarity of Ice Damage)
Trying to farm Ikurr'ilb Roots seems like it is far more painful than it needs to be, there are a few different 'enemy drop only' materials but this:
- Only drops from one enemy type found late into the game.
- There's only 4-5 Ikurr'ilb scattered across a large map.
- They can also drop either Snowflake Obsidian or money (or nothing).
- The only Element they don't have resistance to is one of the rarest in the game.
- Is required for two different Alchemy Recipes.

I have a few different suggestions on how to try and make this less tedious:
- You could increase the drop rate.
- Shrink the loot pool by removing the Money and Snowflake drops (although it would make sense to then move the Snowflake drop to another enemy since it is also pretty rare and used in a couple of different recipes).
- Replace it's use in the Spectral Candle recipe with a different material, since it makes sense to have it be a part of the Staff of Osiris since you start finding them close by and it can be seen as an upgrade to the Candle. But why limit the ability to make the Spectral Candle until so late into the game.
- Give us more Ice weapons... I know it's easier said than done, but there is only non-spell Ice weapon in the game and it requires more enemy farming, plus the damage is so low that it is slower than attacking with Elements the enemy is resistant to.

Ice Tear on an INT character pretty much one shots these guys so I guess I never noticed.

I found the weapon damage types in general a little disappointing. There's lots of dark weapons, but dark isn't that great and I can only think of one fire melee weapon. Normal damage weapons aren't great because some enemies are completely immune but holy is effective for almost the whole game.

Oh I am entirely aware of the power of Ice Tear since it was one of the things that got me through the Sucscarius fight despite only having 25 Int.

The problem is that if Ice Tear ever (and likely will) get nerfed, Ice Spear isn't great against these guys if you have low Int, and Ice Sickle isn't great if... well Ice Sickle just isn't great by end game.

While I'm fine with some combat styles having blind spots for certain elemental damage types, it's feels really bad when its on an enemy that is the only source of a material required for multiple items.

While not a perfect solution to these valid complaints, I found some decent success with the Wand of Power, and just getting lucky enough for it's random element to be Ice typed.
It's more RNG on top of an already RNG heavy situation, but can make it a little more fun to see if youre going to do some damage, zero damage, or one shot them. And getting to use it from a distance is a nice bonus during it's use. :specimen1:
