Lore implications from Book near Ending B
The four books near the Door of Tartarus give hints on how to get the ending. They mention needing 30 coins and then there's a book that list how to get said coins. I'll list the lines of the book by line to break down if these were done previously. Assuming each instance gives 10 coins like the player gets, there should be enough for three people to get through the door. I'm not sure on all of these.

1. Replace a prisoner and an angel.
2. Slay a giant of Magic.
3. Transmute an animal into a mass of humanoids.
4. Use poison to give separate wills to the brains and bodies of followers.
5. Disrupt the flow of souls to the afterlife.
6. Transplant the fingers of the left hand to the right of another.
7. Desecrate a shrine to an elder being.
8. Sever a follower of yours into different planes of existence.
9. Grant healing blood magic to one afflicted which takes more than it heals.

1. I think this was done by Abdul. The Fractured Life item states there's an angel trapped in there. It could even been as simple as swapping the Fractured Death and the Fractured Life locations.

2. Done by the player. Jotunn are stated in the history excerpt 5 in the forbidden archives to be the source of magic for humans.

3. The remnants of this are found in one of the prison cells. Probably done by Abdul.

4. I'm guessing the "poison" is some false knowledge in the Forbidden Archives or it was administered by Abdul himself. The group in the Temple of Silence had their skulls, spine, and ribs separate from their bodies. The reason I think the archives are involved is because of the Enlightened Ones being there.

5. It seems killing death wasn't the actual cause of getting the coins, but preventing souls from moving on.

6. I'm honestly not sure about this one. It might have been set up with your character being turned into a hand, but getting disrupted when you awoke. It's also possible the last three haven't been done yet.

8. It could be interpreted as ending B since it seems you're moved to a new existence.

9. Might have something to do with the creation of vampires at Castle Le Fanu.

Also, it seems reading the excerpts suggest that Lyria was the start of magic and was pushed into the ground by the tears of the moon. As you progress into the game you generally descend further down. I wonder if the silver pools near the door of Tartarus are the tears. The area where the Great One slumbers appears to be the town from the opening/start screen.

One last thing, if I'm counting correctly based on how area are connected, there are roughly nine levels of the Great Well, much like Hell in Dante's Inferno.
