Black Book bug

Had this bug where after giving the second Black Book to Daedalus, he replies the same thing as when he gave the first reward (Fire Worm), locking the player from getting the 2nd reward (Bestial Communion) and subsequently, the achievement for all spells. I've restarted this game 4 times, 3 out of bugs that so far can't be fixed (one revolving me being unable to do any alchemy and bone drops not being added to my inventory, for example) and now on my current playthrough I'd like to know if it's safe to do the book exchange with Daedalus so I won't have to make another char to get all achievs.

I managed to get the SECOND spell (Bestial Communion) from the SECOND book now, but after giving the third book for the third spell (Moonbeam or something), he receives it (I left the books on my quick item to see the amount going from 1 to 0) then after reading he asks for another book. like ffs
And he keeps doing that every time I return to him, removing a book I don't even have anymore (says Black Book removed, even though I have 0) then wait and he says "Oh is that another Black Book?..." and it goes like that over and over, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate it
I can't believe I already have to restart the game again....

Clearly the dev has no idea how to fix this issue since it has been present in the older versions too.

I'm just done with this tbh, I lost 3 saves for that and now I'm (once again) unable to get the all spells achievement.

I hit this issue and worked around it by giving him the 3rd book when prompted (even if you have zero in your inventory, since you already gave it to him) and idling in the library for 10 minutes until he finishes reading it, then talking to him again. Leaving the area causes him to reset and ask for the book again (for some reason), but if you don't leave and just wait, you can get the final spell.

According to the folks on the Discord, the timer for Moonbeam is 25 minutes. I had a similar issue when I teleported away (he ran through the "is that a black book?" dialogue) but when I x'd out of that and simply interacted with him again he gave me the spell.

Ah, I hadn't x'd out of the dialog and just accepted the prompt, I just noticed it reset every time I loaded the level and gave me the "im still reading" dialog if I talked to him after accepting the prompt, so I just waited and wasn't really looking at the clock closely.
