Got cool weapon, friends hiding?

I got that scythe and all the npcs are gone. I was wondering if they don't exist in the game anymore or if they're physically somewhere, hiding. I'll keep looking on my own. There were these invincible spooky enemies above the haven. I didn't even consider attacking the npcs until they fled.

I dunno if it's a coincidence, but those ghost things are showing up a lot haha

It is not a coincidence! You didn't just get a scythe - you killed death!
Without death - who ferries the souls of the dead on to the afterlife? Nobody ... so they linger ... and hunt.

Your alone in a deathless world, the NPCs are gone.
Unless you fix it ... :D

Little tip if you would get sick of working a grim reaper - spawn ton of coffins in hub area and keep farming exp on them.

I just kept cleaning out the forest of spirits, patrolling from the crystal to the hidden door up a vine and treetops a bit away from the crystal

I fixed it, but realized after the fact I wanted to explore more. In particular, I wonder if specters show up in the dev room

Since when have you been able to kill Death? Is this part of the update?

Yep. It takes some secrets to find in new area.

im still not sure if i should kill death because some say it permanently changes your class to undead and its a grind to upgrade the thing, plus when you do it just gets rid of the weapon and the ghosts

Wait it changes your class? I didn't know that cause i'm already playing as an undead lol

I did the whole death thing and I am still royal. That said I already "got death back" so I might have been undead while having the scythe.

How do you fix it? I killed death too, but then I noticed that all enemies had become (obviously) immortal, so I re-loaded the previous save and cancelled everything. Is there a way to bring death back though? I'm not... comfortable with all those immortals around....

You have to level up and evolve the scythe - Enemies won't die unless you use the scythe - You'll loose it when you do, but enemies will die again and NPCs will return :)
The point of doing that was the 10 coins, which you have when death dies, just gotta get outta the 'situation' it creates too!

Ah, I see! So, after you beat death, you BECOME death for a while. Brilliant! I'll try again some day, after I finish my exploration.
