Dont understand the hate for the whole pronoun thing

I find it unnecessary considering that as far as I know it doesn't really affect the game... The main character could be sentient mannequin and the game would still be the same amount of fun.
But considering it so non-intrusive that it literally takes a couple seconds I really don't mind if it's there or not, specially considering there's people who do want it.

I would like to remember that:
1- If there was none other than he/she pronouns, it would make people with other pronouns mad.

2- if various pronouns are included in a game (to piss off people or not) would make people mad about the *why* was added.

3- if there WASN'T any pronouns to choose from, it would make people mad because there was none in the first place

so let me get this straight:
It's a f*cking game guys (and developers), whatever it was added to piss off people or not, i still don't see the problem whatsoever. I just think it's a win-win situation just for the simple fact that you can choose the pronouns. Do you want it? nice. You don't want it? choose the "none" option and you're good to go.

so again, let me say it: whatever option you will choose (either the N°1, 2 or 3) you can't apparently make all people happy, because there will ALWAYS be that one (group of) person/s who will not agree with you, EVEN if everything you say makes sense. Just get over it and play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and enjoy it (or don't if you don't like of course).

Not supporting a cause that, per se, will make a thing more normalized for a lot of people, but you'll also don't need to do anything about it (do ads, talk about the "feature" of the game, etc...) is just straight up stupid.

True, but it's because it's not a normalized thing (unfortunately), especially in rpgs, and i still don't see what's the issue.
I'm into the LGBTQ+ and i only see this as a good feature honestly. I was ok without it since i bought the game like 3 days before the 1.0 launch, but i'm just feeling more happier for the pronouns because i know it can make a lot of people more comfortable while creating their characters.

Even without knowing the whole thing about why it was added, it seems to be a pretty good community filter.

Speaking broadly, the little bit at the start (that, to my knowledge never gets used) has split folks into two sets - people who see the addition and shrug it off, and people who see the addition and swing into an apoplectic fit whilst insisting that they aren't angry. And whilst the former set may have people who are unsavoury and just not quite so easily-upset over pronouns, eventually the community will have far fewer people in it who get truly, hideously angry because they may have to refer to their character by some manner beyond name, and the community gets a little less aggressive.

(though admittedly, knowing WHY it was added does make things funnier)

It's because of *why* it was implemented in the first place, which the dev stated on twitter was just to piss people off. If it wasn't for the reasoning i would have been perfectly fine with the addition, but i just can't support a bigot whose only goal is to offend people.

Hm, I would say something logical that would benefit most of us if put to action in the long run about this, but why waste time on blue tribe shills? The problem are not the pronouns in the game but the devs attempt to try and normalize pronouns as a whole within society by non-chalantly implementing them in the game for no reason other than to piss people off.

They are trying to claim its because Kira said they added them to make people mad which was very obviously a joke, since Kira themself uses They/Them pronouns.
