Camera jitter/stutter only with M&K
For some reason i get camera jitter when using M&K but not controller, Games running at 144 fps. G-sync 144hz monitor no fps cap any ideas?

EDIT: Didn't work for me but might for someone is a fix [Devin] in the comments found was -
"I fixed it by lowering my (Razer Basilisk V3) mouse's polling rate from 1000Hz to 500Hz. Unlocked FPS, and a slower mouse polling rate. Runs like butter, now."

EDIT:2 I haven't used it but there's a duct tape style fix modification to download in the comments that may fix stuttering by [MoArtis] Use at your own risk obviously.

Do you have a controller plugged in? Sometimes that can cause issues.

I only plugged the controller in to test if it would jitter with it so no, I don't have a controller plugged in unless i'm using it.

Only m&K plugged in = jitter
Plug controller in and use that to play = no jitter

I have the same issue (144Hz display), when I strafe and move my mouse simultaneously. I saw this issue in other Unity games already, like Bendy and the Dark Revival. I would assume the camera movement is handled in "Fixed Update" instead of "Late Update" ...

Nah that was fixed a while ago, this here is a different issue

Wdym with fixed, it's still happening to me.

I'm saying this here can't be fixed update issue because its not even like that anymore lol
Why I said immediately afterwards what's happening here is a different issue

Guess I just create a new thread then.

I'm having the exact same issue, ever since first playing it a couple months ago and It looks, like the camera moves at a slightly lower framerate (running at 60FPS), than the game itself, but only, when moving the camera with the mouse.
The camera is smooth as butter using a controller. I'm using a 60Hz monitor. Things i've tried to no avail, include:

- Disabling V-Sync and VRR (G-Sync), which expectedly makes it look worse
- Unplugging all other USB-devices
- Using different DPI-settings
- Using a different mouse
- Clean-booting Windows 10, to rule out third-party program/service conflicts
- Verifying the game files

Seems to be a pretty well known issue, though, judging by 1+ year old threads, like this one. In fact, searching for something, like "camera stutter" yields many such threads, with no fix sadly.

What someone said in that thread could be the hand stutter and not the actual camera stuttering
Besides an unused USB device being plugged in there hasn't actually been any other cause since Kira fixed the fixed update thing

I know the hand is still, weirdly not smooth on mouse for whatever reason

It's not the hand. The whole view is stuttering ... it's night and day when using a controller.

Yeah i'v tried a couple times now and i have resorted to just use a controller, It definitely is a night a day difference with how smooth it is but i'm gonna be honest mate I don't think we are gonna find a fix and apparently what other people found has been fixed.

Its hard to prove what we are experiencing and while I wish I could enjoy using the mouse honestly the game plays fine with a controller anyway so its not a deal breaker for me atleast.

If enough people also experience what we have and chime in maybe it might get looked into but other than that not much we can do.

I'll probably going to use a controller too, just feels so much better in terms of camera smoothness. Doesn't fix the issue, but good enough workaround. Also because ultrawide isn't supported and seems like Kira hates 21:9 because Lost in Vivo also wasn't supporting it.
Anchor placement is hard in Unity.
El Fuerte Jun 27, 2023 @ 4:05pm
believe me it was way worse before the patch. My suggestion is to play at higher than 60hz mode, it mitigates the problem.

I can confirm Lost in Vivo did not suffered from this btw.

I play in 144Hz and it's still not comparable to using a controller.

As an alternative, you could try locking the game to 60FPS, enable VRR (G-Sync or Free-Sync) and force on V-Sync in the GPU driver settings. Things (not just the hand) will still kinda look, like they're lagging behind slightly, while moving, but at least that jitter is smoothed out a bit.
