I had the same problem; first i thought that those earned points allow us to exchange them for a few dlc, as each of them seem to possibly be exchanged with those bioware points; still even after making an useless account, noting could be done. As far as it seem, the bioware ponts earned by achievement is kinda borken, if you were after the exchange, you must buy those bioware points directly from bioware page, or you may buy the dlc for 7 t o16 dollars depending on the dlc. Still you have another way to earn those dlcs, it is written in the guides of these game; if you use it or not is up to you.
Hope this help.

after that, you have to use the daupdater program and tell it where your downloaded files are.
the dragon age wiki explains this process pretty well; it also describes how you can, for free, download all of the bonus stuff they gave out for free depending on where you bought the game.
that means you can get nearly all of the "free" items that were given out if you bought from specific stores -- like magic rings and weapons/armor etc.
The DLC you still need to buy via bioware points (and I did that by paying money for them), but if you log into their social account, you can get the other stuff for free and download the files, and use daupdater to import them in.
I have not paid any attention to the achievements, get reported to their website when you log ino via the game and i never remember to do that and besides, its 8 or 9 years after the release of the game. The whole social media thing tied to it is pretty much dead and they've moved on to the sequels and mass effect, etc...
