Dragon Age: Origins

When am I supposed to enter the CD key?
I bought Dragon Age Origins and Awakening DLC during the Steam sale and I've played it for around 2 hours now - when am I supposed to enter the CD key? I have 2 of them oddly enough. Do I have to activate the game before I can get achievements or use my EA/Origin profile?

Steam automatically takes care of that for you if I'm not mistaken. The key is usually automatically activated upon first launch and during each successive launch when needed. Only the older titles and games need you to insert it into the game.

But those keys works as a double copy of the game. Try activating it on Origin. :)

That is true but who wants to even use origin? I think it's disguisting they make you use their client now if you want to play their new games. Origin sucks and EA knows it.

I can't blame you with that. But I only suggested it. Just in case he wants an extra copy of the game.

Well I only use Origin if I play Fifa. Mostly offline.

So I only need to use Origin if I want achievements, right?

Origin is utter crap. My old account got compromised and had its secret question switched to Chinese; I tried getting a hold of support but it's frickin' USELESS. This will be my last EA purchase ever.

I don't really care about achievements, as long as I enjoy the game. But I guess yes, achievements is for Origin only.

I am tempted to buy the Inquistion game of the year edition, as it's only 14$ right now on Origin.

Unless you've played it before and enjoyed it, I wouldn't recommend it. It's almost just like DA2 but more open. I just simply didn't like DAO2 or DAI. DAO was just the best in almost every aspect. The combat system is what ultimately loses me in those 2 I guess.
