I lost the ability to see all pre rendered cutscenes

Suddenly all cutscenes are just black screen with audio, like the anime intro and the screen with Sylvie's tutorial. I don't understand why, it worked when the game first came out and now they're suddenly black. I tried everything, including deleting the game and all my settings, but it's the same. What's the fix?

Are you playing on Steam Deck? The cutscenes do not load on Steam Deck or any other Linux machines because the file format for pre-rendered cutscenes are not supported on the platform.

No it turned out it was nvidia fast sync. Broke it for tons of games.
