Save file gone

Just opened the game and its pretending like I never even played it, its playing the into and all saves are missing.

Same thing happened to me last night. Was at rank 5, loaded up the game and no save data remains now. Loads right into new game pick difficulty etc. Total slap in the face

had this same issue too, except this time when i get to a point where i can save, (which is the checkpoint for the first boss) my game displays no save files and crashes due to a fatal error.
