Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack

Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack

Naked Wizard Dec 29, 2015 @ 5:15pm
So how does it work?
I Played SPore back in 2008 and i still have the Original DVD.

Nevermind, i got this game in Steamsale with all the Expansions, C&C and GA.

I played like 11 hours straight and then i realized i did not have the C&C Parts nor the GA in the menue / the Editor.

How do i play with the expansions.

Do i just launch C&C and GA once and it works?
Do i always have to play the Spore C&C Game in my Library ( Spore is listed in 3 games, SPore, C&C and GA in the steam games list ).

If i want to play GA with tha C&C parts do i have to just start GA or how do they unlock?
Or can i only play C&C in C&C mode?

Am i able to play Normal mode with C&C when i start the GA game but don´t start an adventure and just play the Creature and stuff evolution?

Thank you for the Answers!

I think you have to start the game with the last addon

To use C&C launch it from the menu instead of the base game.

I played the base game for a very short time.
I played the C&C expansion for ten hours. Felt like a kid again, a little.

Once i played the GA expansion, i got permenantly locked out of the C&C parts.

Launching the C&C 'game' from the library only launches the base spore. It says it's updating the content database, but never does.
Looked in the game files, all that's there are the data files for GA and the bot parts.
(Might i add, i had to pirate the bot parts from mod DB.
I bought them back during the promotion with Dr. Pepper, and my profile showed i had the parts, but they never downloaded, so i say ♥♥♥♥ it, fair gain, i already had been jipped of these parts for years.)

From what i heard, something to do with not registering the game/DLC, which i was given no indication i had to do, so i can never use the parts again, as it refuses to give them back.

EA refuses to let me play, what has been payed for with their ♥♥♥♥ DRM in the game.

Unless anyone has a solution to this, i really will be lacking the parts that the 'complete' edition was purchased for.

Hi! I had trouble with another game downloading and all the DLC for it to show up in-game. Someone here on Steam gave me this tip and it worked.

Go to your game library.

Right click on the game's name you're having trouble with.

At the very bottom of this pop up, you'll see 'Properties'.

Left click on 'Properties'. This will open up a new window in a different area.

In this new window, find and left click onto 'Local Files'.

There are 4 bars of options. left click on 'Verify Integrity Of Game Cache'. (It's the bottom bar file in the listed group).

This just takes a moment and let this option download. Close window when completely done.

This will validate all the files for the game, and it will validate all the DLC files, (if any) at the same time.
Then close file window.

You may want to reboot the computer at this time...But that's not really necessary.
Sometimes that's all it take to run whatever game and the game's DLC's you have downloaded to properly work (with or without patches).

It's good practice to do this with ALL your downloaded games to help recognize and validate all the game's files needed to run the game properly.

This may or may not work. This has helped me in the past with games I've had trouble with.
Good Luck and I hope this helps you and everyone out. Happy Gaming!

I tend to look through game files myself before looking for a solution from someone else, and upon launching GA for the first time, the content.package for the C&C parts deleted it's self, and permanently blocked automatic redownload.

As i recall, i tried verifying, and it said 'everything was fine', or whatever it is Steam says. I don't have to verify caches enough to memorize it.
Yes, tried with both expansions.

Still. I'll try again. Maybe it'll work, but honestly, i doubt it, given that it didn't before.
[UPDATE]
This time it actually worked right and i have the parts that money was spent for again.
Thanks.

I know I'm late but how can I see the "local files" on Windows 10/11?

Just follow the direction above.

OK I'm just gonna write what worked for me and so far what worked for all my friends, note we do not do mods so if you have them idk what to tell you chief

1 DOWNLOAD ALL OF THEM (if you have them of course)

SPORE

SPORE [Creepy & Cute pack]

SPORE [(GALACTIC ADVENTURE)]

2 then go to your SPORE one launch it, and log in if you can and have an account

then quit the game, go and the Open Creepy and Cute and if it's already logged in great, if its not, log in and it should connect, and voila you now have creepy and cute stuff in normal spore, then just go to Galactic adventure, same as last one, if its already logged in nice, if not log in and now all 3 are connected, form now on PLAY IN GALACTIC ADVENTURES, since it will have all 3 stuff in one, if you play in the others it doesn't let you do things like galactic adventures, and it glitches out and crashes, since if you created something with one of the 2 DLC, but are not in Galactic adventures, the game feels the things missing

Note you can still play regular SPORE and it will have the Creepy and Cute parts but will not let you do any Galactic Adventures, hence why from now on you should play on Galactic Adventures from now on, since it just has everything, and you can just chose to use what you want

hope that helps

So for c and c to work you need to launch that instead of the main game or something that shouldn't even be a thing in 2024.
