Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack

Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack

Explain please!
I've bought and installed spore. Then I bought the spore creepy and cute parts pack and the spore galactic adventures, thinking they weer dlc for Spore. But now they seem to be completely different games in my steam library. I can understand the galactic adventures one, but the spore creepy and cute parts pack literally has 'pack' in the name. How could you not think that was a dlc? Please explain how these work.

So the pack is an extra game, but it requires the Spore base game to be installed already to utilize the Creepy & Cute stuff? Spore is 3.4 GB and the "Pack" is 3.5 GB. It doesn't make any sense and seems like a huge waste of space.

Abracadaniel, I'm pretty sure that on steam it's kinda weird, but on the origin client it works as a DLC.

So which item do I run from the Steam client? If I just select "Spore" or "Spore: Galactic Adventures" will it not also include the Creepy & Cute Parts Pack?

Nicole, you can run Spore or Galactic Adventures on steam. Running the parts pack just acts like spore with the dlc, but your main game will also have the dlc.

@Nicole Sharp I have all parts of the game. You can run them by creating a desktop shortcut of either or open them straight through steam they are DLC.

so if i only open up the space addon DLC , it will have the DLC from cute and creepy on it also?

Yeah. Galactic Adventures can have Creepy and Cute in it. I have many creatures that use Creepy and Cute, and they work fine in GA

The problem here is that because of that it occupies twice the space that it should. I have tried to just run the Creepy and Cute without the base Spore installed (because, after all, it occupies almost the same space) and it doesn't seem to work. Do you know if there's a method to make it work that way?

Time to Necro a thread
So, install Spore, then Creepy and cute and steam will only download the difference, which are the new parts, then Galactic Adventures, than open the games as such, run base Spore once, then the pack once and you can get rid of the shortcut since it will be in the other 2, and then use Galactic Adventures as your main one, you can still open base if you don't want to have the galactic adventures, but galactic adventures has the entire thing, but yeah you need the 3 installed

Thanks to you I've discovered that the Galactic Adventures pack isn't available on Spain.
