why would a dev indicate that the #1 player leaderboard player answered it with a complete non answer like "lol" that's actually so scummy and weird. Completely put off from Sorath on that one.

Someone who doesn't own the game or perhaps just doesn't look at the leaderboard wouldn't know that that poster is the #1 player and therefore his dismissive answer should be given great weight. So the mark is informative.

To give anyone actually wondering a real answer: No, it's not just Devil Daggers with a filter. I get why at a glance it might seem that way to be fair but it's quite different, though obviously less so than some make it seem since it obviously shares a lot of it's core.

Yes, it's built off the same core gameplay as DD but it is not only much more fleshed out but also the way you play, even if it is built on the same core, is fundamentally different. A better way to think of it would be like a sequel but one that's pretty different.
