Developer Tips for playing One Military Camp

We know that many of you are having some questions about the game’s mechanics, so we thought we would give you a few tips. We hope it will help you in your games


// -– BUILDING — //

- When you are in building mode, you can duplicate buildings by holding down the Shift key. This will save you a lot of time when placing lampposts, for example.

- When you need to zoom in while you are building, remember that you can do so by pressing the ALT key. This can also be done outside of building mode.

// -– MAINTENANCE — //

- The layout of your camp is very important, if you see that your maintenance workers do not work well, it may be because their buildings are not placed efficiently. The best thing to do is to distribute maintenance buildings around the camp so that everything works well.

// — ENERGY — //

- If you find that you have problems with the electrical generators, remember that you can connect several of them to increase the combined power.

- when you start to detect that the generators are overloaded, the first thing you should do is to pause the game and try to solve the problem, otherwise they may start to explode. The best advice is that as soon as you detect overload, build a new generator and connect it to the rest to reduce the load they have.

- It could also be a good idea to build separate grids. That way, you won’t suffer a complete blackout if one generator runs out of fuel or explodes.

// -– STAFF — //

- If you want your workers to work better, it’s important to pay attention to the Skill related to their job (Strength for Maintenance Workers, Speed for Cooks, Accuracy for Security Officers and Intelligence for Medics and Researchers), and not just their XP on that job. The best thing to do is to train the staff as well, if you can.

- If you have hired doctors but everyone at your camp is healthy, it’s a good idea to send them to Intelligence Training to improve their performance and make the most of their time.

// — ECONOMY — //

- The bonuses of the missions are an extra. The economy of the game is designed to be sustainable without them, so if you don't get any of them don't worry, there will be times when it will be easier to get them and others will be a challenge.

- Keep in mind that, at the beginning of the game, the country is in a tough situation. At first, you will have few liberated territories so it will be difficult to enter in a positive balance, but as you advance and conquer more, you will soon reverse that situation. Be patient and manage the population of your camp well. Do not hire all the applicants from the beginning.

// — TRAINING — //

- Train your recruits in the four basic abilities. But don’t specialize them until you need it. A good trained soldier fits in every specialization.

- Set objectives for your recruits, that way, it will be easier to keep track of them and optimize the time when they should change training. The more ambitious your objectives are, the better the soldier will be.

// — RECRUITMENT — //

- Keep in mind the traits of any applicant, there is no shame in dismissing that lazy “soldier wannabe” if he is not adequate for your next mission.

// — RESEARCH — //

- Research is key. Best units and buildings are only unlocked after hard scientific work.

- Check back from time to time to see what research is available and what the benefits are, because it can make a difference.

- Upgrading your warehouses will allow you to restock your supplies automatically. You won’t need to order food, medicines, fuel or ammo manually anymore.

// — MISSIONS — //

- Keep in mind that soldiers can get injured during the missions, and not only that... they may not return.Think carefully whether to risk them or not.

- When you are sending soldiers on a mission, if you match the enemy battle rank, you will have a 50% chance of success. The more you exceed that number, the higher percentage of success you will have.

- If you can’t accomplish a mission from your current camp, maybe you can go back to previous camps and try it with your most experienced troops.

// — MANAGEMENT — //

- You can change your heroes by clicking on Sergeant Hawkins at the recruitment office.

- By clicking on your hero, you can ask him or her to start jogging. Some of your soldiers
will join and this will boost their morale.

- Remember you can pause or double speed the game if you need to.

- Too many soldiers in your camp? Try to specialize super soldiers, they are proficient in any scenario.

- Tired of having to change the training of your soldiers? The instructors will take care of that for you. You’ll only have to assign a goal to your soldiers and they’ll do the rest. You’ll need to research the Instructor’s Building first.

// — DEFENSE — //

- Watchtowers will only set off alarms when they have an attacking spy in enemy clothing in their range of vision. As long as they are camouflaged they will not be detectable, so it will not be enough to place a tower at the entrance, you will have to think carefully about distributing them around the camp.

- The XP and Accuracy Skill of Security Officers will affect their performance. WIth high Accuracy and XP they’ll be more effective and accurate using the anti-drone batteries. Keep in mind to train them to make them better.

Per the comment the Dev provided me, The power issues that myself and many will run into is easily fixed, as stated above by connecting all power supplies in a series. Dev suggested utilizing 1 area to put all power supplies and use power poles to extend range. Thus far it has worked as described. Easy power solution.

There should be an additional Button for accelerating the Game to at least 4x Gamespeed. Double Gamespeed ist too slow.

Should we have any shortkey for Repair building? Very tired when click on Left to select building and move mouse to right to click on repair button.
