Anyone know how to change the resolution outside of the game?

I bought this a while ago, but never got round to actually playing it because it launches in some resolution that my monitor refuses to display. I've tried looking for a config file that I can edit but no joy. Anyone have any idea how I can change the resolution without relying on the options ingame, or if I can launch it in windowed mode so I can change it?

it launches at 640x480 from what I have read to fix my problem it looks like it has to be done in the registry, I hate doing that, my problem was when I set it to the highest in the game and it crashed then wouldnt launch anymore, my fix was tomake a desktop short cut, go to the properties of it and add -SAFEMODE after the last quote, thats a space then -SAFEMODE then I was able get into the game and make my changes. maybe that will help you not sure.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that doesn't seem to work for me. I did find the registry entries and changed the resolution there, but that just makes the game crash to desktop. I'm gonna give up, it's so not worth the hassle. Well done EA, another successful game!! ;)

Same problem here, neither registry, -SAFEMODE or -w work. I'd love to start it in windowed mode with -w, but no luck.

Yeah well done EA:( and it doesnt give a s^^t with old games even most wanted 2 which is made 1 year ago.(Shut down old game's Autolog after The Rival is on sale)

Eerrrm, Undercover IS Most Wanted 2. Have a look into the GL.ini at the [GameLauncherConfig] Section.

Oh man I searched registry found nothing...
So I remembered another game old 32bit game I had, it need the affinity set.


Start the game
When you get to "Hit Enter" screen
Alt Tab out

Open Task Manager and find the NFS 32bit app running.
It should have to other apps a Command Prompt and the NFS.exe


Right click on the NFS and "go to details"

Right click on NFS in details and click "Set Affinity"

Choose your first CPU deselect all the rest.

Click on game in task bar or Alt-Tab back in.

Play the game.

Still have two problems

1. After I set res, high everything, it doesn't save.

2. The affinity doesn't set so you have to do it every time. I am still looking to see if we can set affinity on run.
