How can i use an PS4 Controller?

I tried to use an PS4 Controller but it doesnt work, but idk why. I hope someone can help me, even after a couple years xd

PS5 controller works out of the box for me. Use Steam Big Picture mode?

Yeah, you might just have to use Big Picture Mode. I use a PS4 controller, and mine works perfectly fine.

You can use ds4 Windows, it will make you ps4 controller into a xbox 360 or one controller

Steam input > DS4windows any day if you just want to set up the controller normally with no adjustments. DS4windows is just a mess to setup overall
