How to install the latest patch for NFS Undercover fresh instruction

Hello to all fans of this game! I hope you are still alive. So I decided to revive this group.
I'm sure many either do not know about the latest patch V. 1.0.1.18, or can't install it and simply ignored it. But when is update that is why its installation should be the problem?

I'll even write the entire text is here:

To manually install the latest patch v.1.0.1.18 you will need:

1.Replace all your file folders are those that are in this update.

2.Put these files in-Program Files-Steam-steamapps-common-need for speed undercover - this folder do not just copy, you need
move from this folder all files in your game through Steam this way:

Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\need for speed undercover

After update, you've get the addition Challenge Series with 60 competitions from Amateur to Professional. After passing all the add-on you will gain access to three exclusive cars that are not in any version of the game.
This is the latest patch which came out for NFS Undercover.

Of course I don't know how worked your multiplayer before,but I just want to add that after updating with races by network problems you will not.You will be able to play there in all the available modes with their friends, without glitches, freezes and any problems.

P.S.
For Steam version of the game this patch cannot be installed through the installer, so everything should be set manually.
With the Origin version of the installation problems should not arise, personally I have this patch installed without problems using the official installer

Thankyou, I was able to play a game I bought a year or two ago for the first time now. I don't know why this isn't part of Steam, or why it isn't patched.
This is the only Need for Speed game they have that I like here. Hot Pursuit stinks badly. This is great though. THANKS!

Is this also needed for the Origin version as of now? If I look at the details of the "nfs.exe" it's showing the version 1.1.2.1, which would be even newer..

The patch is broken on modern systems cause the "patched" EXE uses SecuROM for some stupid reason. The old, steam EXE works fine. Don't install this stupid patch, it won't work on Windows 10.

Works fine for me and I'm using Windows 10.
"Won't work on Windows 10" has become a cliché to me at this point.

The same for me. I'm experiencing twice the less frame drop than the usual, even with a relatively low setting at 720p res.

Anyway, I happened to have a digital copy of NFSUC and I also had downloaded the patch somewhere from the Internet. I ran the patch to be installed inside the digital copy, and later transfer both nfs.exe and paul.dll file to the Steam version. I am delighted to see that I didn't experience any frame drop at all.

Apparently Origin version has those. I redownloaded the game from Origin, didnt install anything and challenges and car (Mazda RX7) were there. To be sure I started new save and yet still available.

So advice to buy this on Origin. + it's DRM free there (launches without Origin).

Origin version had the lastest patch but have Sony DRM . Which the server has offline.

Also, You can view cd-key for several game in Steam that made by EA, so you can use that key to activate over there too. Not sure it still work now or not, but it was the way i duplicate my digital license of the game to Origin from Steam for this game
