Rebooting the game is faster than finishing a game at that point.
Also leaving in the middle of a lobby match for a fighting game is normal, try Guilty Gear Xrd as an example. Such restriction should only be placed in a Ranked Match setting.
Then again, I mostly play Ranked in fighting games, having only really done more than a few lobby/room matches in BBCF (mostly the big lobbies over player rooms, and I still played Ranked there too), so I never realized that there were fighting games that let you quit while playing a match outside of Ranked.
I understand the reasoning, it's perfectly understandable. But a small quality of life change like this really do help when matched with laggy players.
To be fair tho, since this game doesn't have any ranking system, I don't really mind getting rage-quitted on.. God knows how many of those I got ever since I picked up Aki.. And matchmaking in this game is fast too with no loading times in between (looking at you, GGStrive), so if someone RQs, just go back to online mode, and either host or find a lobby that's close.

Inb4..
If it's around 300ms, then okay, it's just laggy as hecc, but the slowdown is bearable, I'll finish the set. 1000 tho?? Boi, you better not...
What's weird is I can see US lobbies with 6ms ping, but I know for sure the connection is gonna be absolutely horrid. Right now, ping indicator is out of wack.
