Just have fun or gtfo ¬¬
im assuming your trolling or this is your first FG or both
As for the balance issues, it's a small team and this is a passion project no way were they gonna have this decently balanced on launch.
Hell, even fight game devs with bigger teams still release heavily unbalanced stuff, and fix it as time goes by. It's hard to test for all the possible crazy interactions.
That said the devs have been releasing many small hotfixes and are working on it as fast as they can.
Why does everyone keep saying this? Have you seen Korone's baby's first Mugen character idle animation?
What a terrible way to open up your post even if you do have some legitimate criticisms later. From what I've seen, its more a 3 touch game and this is TYPICAL of anime fighters. Strive is basically a 3 touch game unless you're Chip. In fact, most anime fighters are roughly 3 touch games so actual skill issue. Clearly anime fighters are not for you. Play Street Fighter or some other fighting game where the emphasis is on footsies instead.
"combos you have to sit thru"
Once again, this is standard fare for anime fighters. Long combo routes with lots of scaling damage is normal. I don't think the combo lengths in this game are egregious anyway. The top tier combo routes I've seen are just average in terms of duration when compared to other anime fighters.
"identifying times to take your turn back either are nonexistent or immensely ambiguous"
Mostly a skill issue. I won't deny the possibility that some characters are just ridiculously stronger than others but this is a freaking 5 day old game at this point. It's more likely a skill issue that you can't identify when to attempt to take back turns. You can't possibly argue that most match ups in this game are so lopsided that its a character balance issue rather than a skill issue.
Now for actual valid criticisms, the defensive options do seem to be lacking as IB doesn't seem rewarding enough and burst only refilling on getting hit doesn't make sense. Burst should be slowly regen'd over time and also regained faster as you get hit.
Training mode is indeed lacking. Stuff being tucked away in menus is fine but the menus for Training mode itself is pretty horrible to navigate.
*cough* league *cough*
Definitely doesn't apply to this game tho.
this the real common sense right here
