What is the difference for each scythe?
I'd like to know the difference between each one so I can get a better idea of how they work. I don't have all of them yet, and the game doesn't seem to have as much info for each one.

They all have very different movesets, playstyles, and furies. Base scythe is very standard. Diss is more range. Twinsies are slower but stronger. Sickles are fast hitting but shorter range. Parasol is solely defensive, not being your main attack weapon. Selenite is like twinsies but more focused on the final hit.

Fast attacking weapons benefit from +damage numbers, slow more from %, but all from any damage bonus.
Things like The Diss Scythe or whatever are stronger with things like bleed, for example.
Billhook is the dominant champion IMO.
The claws benefit a lot from aerial when upgraded, and the aerial bonuses are huge.
The only time I use the regular scythe is if I'm going to fight life, because its not super reliant on the last part of the combos.

Bill hook? How do I get that one? And the claws too. Those sound badass.

I don't remember how you unlock most of them, as I had the game for a while in Early Access, but I do remember how you get the Billhooks. That one you unlock at the shop by beating Imamura (boss of Natural Disasters), and you get progressive discounts for beating her multiple times.

Thanks.

claws are just sickles, I just named them wrongly, i think you start with them but like poster above i don't remember most of them. Also, I take back what I said about the regular Scythe. I used it for some runs, and if you stack crit damage with it, and maybe some extra crit, it gets ridiculous.
Just finished breakdown 10, now trying 11 for the first time with the billhooks.

Basic Scyth: Prismium upgrades give +10 Scythe damage for each other weapon type (Spell/Cloak) and +5 Scyth for every bought Control room upgrade. The most Flat +Damage you can get for a Scyth outside of the Red Tree

Parosel gives up to +8 Defense with Soulery Upgrades, has a Parry on Down attack (with a slightly delay) and can reflect both enemy and in some cases your own projectiles. It has a floaty Up attack (for better or for worse. )

Sickles have fast attacks that move you arround a lot. Prsimium upgrades affect Dash attacks. Low damage, short range, fast hits synergies with +attack, infusions, ect.

Double Blade Scyth Prismium upgrade gives 25% dmg against Thangers and 50% dmg against Sorrows. Deals more damage to near dead enemies with Soluery upgrades. Slower attacks with high damage.

Is Diss Scythe the one that doesn't have an Air Combo? Large range that pulls an enemy towards you, but a lot of its damage/hits is at the end of its combo.

Basic Scythe adds critical as well.
Sickles are amazing with air stacking (namely the 35% bonus and your AOE spin attacks).
Double blade does obscene damage to bosses if you stack the red tree with +damage and +%.
Diss Scythe mostly revolves around the end combo of your ground attack. Stacking bleed +50 and double stack is an easy way to break it. Coincidentally, I just did a breakdown 10 run where I coupled the defensive skill (get +1 damage for every anima you eat) with the anima respawn food to make it do up to 700 a hit by just eating anima like tic tacs as they respawned.
