Road Explorer has Out of the Park Baseball 23

Fullscreen broken

So I took the plunge and bought 23. Thanks for all the input.

However, fullscreen is broken. It is heavily zoomed in to the upper left of the game's main menu. I can't see much below "Historical Exhibition and it cuts off at the right of the screen at the M of "Perfect Team".

I don't want to play it windowed.

Anyone run into this and, if so, have a fix? Otherwise, I'm going to have to refund and chalk this one up to a game I can't play.

I think I found a workaround. It appears that the "Scale and Layout" setting in Windows being set to 150% (default) is something the game just can't handle.

I certainly don't want to change that system-wide just for one game, but you can change it per app by doing the following:

Select the executable for OOTP in Windows Explorer, right-click it, hit "Show more options, then click "Troubleshoot compatibility".

Select "The program opens but doesn’t display correctly", then select Next.

Select "Program does not display properly when large scale font settings are selected", and then select Next.

Select "Test the Program to open the app with the new settings". If it works, select Next and save the settings.

That worked for me, YMMV. I'm on Windows 11 and those are the steps I can remember.

Interesting, glad you found a fix. I see your last sentence says your on Windows 11. I don't have the game yet but does this game support 11? Only shows 10 as the highest support on main page that I can see.

This has been an issue for years now. They will never update or fix this.

Seems to work fine so far, but I've only been through tutorials.

So far, so good. I'm three seasons into a franchise run (or whatever it's called...still learning) and there haven't been any glitches once I applied the compatibility setting.

I'm fairly certain I've not tried anywhere near close to half of the functions of the game and I have not "watched" a game. I use the "Continue" button with the CPU simming them for me as I like managing the club vs. the play by play.

Sounds like you are enjoy it. I haven't upgraded to win 11 yet. Last time I bought this game was 2021 season. Sounds like I will be getting this one. I don't know anything about Perfect team. I think it is multiplayer? Never messed with that. Single player only for me. Thanks for the inside look Road Explorer.
