For example DDV was I think 30$ for EA and you had already over 100h you could spend there. Or Mika and The Witch's Mountain, it costs almost the same, has no performance issues and achievements. It also runs well on the deck. There are so many more.
It would have been better to either leave it as demo up or shrink the price, because it's totally not worth it.
It's a cute, cozy, fun game and I'm sure in the future it will be good, but really the price is way too high.
Also from my experience with EA games so many never leave EA.
yes, exactly this... im also really afraid that within a year the game would be left by the developers... i know its EA like many already said but i expected so much more to do. i really have nothing to do anymore in the game... like WTH
i did buddy, but i can only educate myself so much with all the information that there was. I;m not the only one. There are many games with the same price category that have so much more than 6 hours of gameplay. bye
( Done after 6,8 Hours )
Which story though? :'D There's not much to play. hahaha
And landscapes? They are not that pretty to be honest. Often they feel copy & pasted on each map and just kinda empty. There's not much to see or explore.
The so called open world is mostly the same things / quests over and over again.
The music's okay though.
I would say I play like 90% of my time indie games. And there are many indie games out there that are - by far- better than this version of the game. And yes, I'm very well aware it's EA. But still for EA this game just sucks; not only for it's price. And I'm not even talking about the performance issues.
Landscapes? Sorry but the graphics are in the lower quality, even when high settings. It's also always the same no matter what map of the available ones you play. I did take my time with the game and still was done after less than 3h.
Story? There is almost no story. Most of it was also already in the demo.
Most of all the games I play are EA or indie, or both. I paid way less for indie games with less performance issues, more content and better story than this. I was also really hyped for the game, but all the people defending a game just because it is indie/EA clearly support this type of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ system all the devs force us into.
I don't mind waiting for content, but you can't just put out a game for around 19$ with that less of content, it's literally a big joke at this point and then expect people to be happy about it.
EA is not a free pass to "scam" people, because I'm sure most people expected at least 50% more to do than in the demo, which is not the case.
Personally, I've found the customization excellent. This is a story for a girl who's becoming a witch, and as many games it offers customization for the specific character, not open race & sex choice like games such as wow offer. Makeup and lashes, I feel, would be outside the aesthetic and nature of this character and personally, I didn't miss them. As for the story, there's a "main story update" planned for early 2025, so I think that the main story is not part of the EA game, at least not entirely.
